Hotel wood Takayama

In the old streets of Takayama city, Hotel Wood Takayama’s unique design paradoxically stands out and feels perfectly in place amongst the old-style merchant homes. The hotel’s utilization of wooden slats and latticework are a few of its impressive features, paying homage to traditional Japanese Hida architecture.

I had the pleasure of staying and photographing Hotel Wood Takayama - a hotel whose purpose is to bring together the philosophy of zen and regional culture in a relaxing, contemporary space.
