Ace hotel kyoto

Designed in partnership with acclaimed Japanese architect, Kengo Kuma, and LA-based designed studio, Commune, Ace Hotel is a vibrant architectural gem combining Japanese and American aesthetics, ideas and traditions. Although the hotel is Ace Hotels’ first in Asia, it was on the brand’s radar since its launch 22 years ago. The hotel itself is an oasis for art and design lovers and a community for visitors and locals alike. Sustainability wise the hotel was built using sustainable materials and is the first in Japan to receive LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) status.

Situated in a historic building that was once home to the Kyoto Central Telephone Company in 1926 (designed by Tetsuro Yoshida) the hotel cohesively blends into the SHIN-PUH-KAN complex. With 213 rooms, three award winning restaurants, a plethora of event rooms and Japan’s first Stumptown Coffee Roasters Coffee shop, the entirety is a definitely sight to behold.
